Let Things Fall Away
The air is crisp, the skies are grey and the leaves are changing. Autumn is here. When the seasons change, I find myself doing a little extra self-reflection and this season, I’ve been thinking a lot about letting go, letting the unnecessary “fall” away. After all, even the trees know when to let go of the leaves. It’s a perfect metaphor: emotions, habits, relationships, mind-sets and even labels that served a purpose in moving us forward don’t define who we are for eternity. We are evolutionary individuals who can and should let go of all the things that don’t serve us, no matter what usefulness those things might have provided in the past. So take a few moments...it’s time for a fall cleaning. What isn’t serving you anymore?
